Perfectly CAS June 2021 Challenge

Good evening

It's Perfectly CAS new challenge day, here is the cue card for this June challenge...

A simple one, just remember to keep your design to one third or less.  Here's my Design Team card...

Not much to say about this one really.  I stamped the sentiment first in Versafine ink which is my preferred ink for crisp clean sentiments.  Then I stamped the image using Memento ink and coloured it with Copics.  I could do with a few cards like this in my stash, this last year I keep missing birthdays as I have no reason to check my diary because there's just nothing in it!

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Heffy Doodle - Everyday Sentiment Duos; Clearly Besotted - Undercover Plushies
  • Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black; Memento - Tuxedo Black
  • Coloured with Copics

Challenge entries:

NBUS - Challenge #27 - First use of both these stamp steps
STAMPlorations - June CAS Challenge - Anything CAS Goes
AAA Cards - CAS Game #192 - One Corner

Thank you for taking a look, I'll be back again soon to share more.

Happy Little Stampers June 2019 CAS Challenge

Hi guys

It's time for another CAS challenge at Happy Little Stampers.  As usual, the other HLS challenges will all be going live over the next few days.

Here's what we want to see for the June CAS Challenge...

I'll get straight to my card, and I used some stamps I've had for a while which were a freebie with a magazine last year...

This was super simple to make.  The image and sentiment were stamped in Memento ink and the image coloured with ProMarkers.  I cut it out with a pierced square die and then die cut another square using the same die but from blue cardstock.  I adhered these together slightly offset and then mounted them to the card base using 3D foam.  That was it :)

Materials used:

  • Stamps: Bright & Breezy - Free set with Creative Stamping magazine
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black
  • Coloured with ProMarkers
  • Die: MFT Die-namics - Pierced Square Stax

Thanks so much for popping by, I hope you'll find time to play along and enter your funny cards over at the main challenge blog.

Muse #177 - Belated Birthday Shaker

Hi there

Well, don't these months just fly by?!  It's time for me to be your designer over at Muse for this week's challenge.

This is a card I made for a friend.  I knew I wouldn't manage to see her on her birthday so I made this belated card as I knew she'd be receiving it late.  I'm not sure I've seen a shaker card at Muse before and I've only ever made a few so I thought this might give you some inspiration, as well as a few other elements which might catch your eye.

Here it is...

I started by cutting a panel of white cardstock slightly smaller than the card base, die cutting the stitched aperture and then stamping the sentiment below in black.  On the card base I marked in pencil where the aperture would be and then stamped the two butterflies. These were simply coloured with coloured pencils and a touch of Wink of Stella.  After erasing the pencil marks I then added the acetate and 3D foam to the panel, sprinkled some pink sequins and silver/holographic hearts over the butterflies and then encased these within the top panel when adhering it to the card base.

Materials used:

  • Die: MFT Die-namics - Peek-a-boo Window
  • Stamps: Honey Doo Crafts - Beautiful Butterflies; Clearly Besotted - Fancy Sayings
  • Ink: Versafine - Onyx Black
  • Coloured with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils
  • Accents: Wink of Stella - Clear; Sequins - Little Things from Lucy's Cards - Princess Shaker Selection; Heart sprinkles from stash

Challenge entries:

Just Us Girls - Challenge #353 - Wild Card Week 'Girly'
AAA Cards - Challenge #70 - Stitching
Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge #204 - CAS
Allsorts - Challenge #374 - A Touch of Sparkle

Don't forget, at Muse you can take any inspiration from the designer's card, e.g. colours, layout, technique.  So, I'll look forward to seeing where this takes you.

Thanks for popping by today :)

Happy Bee-lated Birthday Wishes

Good morning!

I know this isn't my usual time of day for blog posts but I have an appointment with the dentist before work this morning (euchhh!) so I have a little more time before I have to leave today.  So I thought I'd share a card I made last night.

When I saw the latest challenge at CASology had the cue card 'Bee', I knew straight away what I wanted to use.  A while ago I purchased some digis from Pink Petticoat, many of which I haven't yet had the chance to use, and one little set is called Buzzy Little Bees.

So here's what I did with it...

I printed off the digi (I decided on the 'bee-lated' image and sentiment, its always handy to have one of these!) and cut it out with an oval die.  I coloured the bee and flower with Promarkers and then added a touch of Wink of Stella to the bee's wings - yes, I've finally purchased the famous little pen and I love it!  I then picked out the red of the flower and cut some deep red cardstock with the co-ordinating scalloped oval die to frame the image.  Next I used a honeycomb embossing folder (I used the de-bossed side of the card) and cut away a section which I adhered to my base card at an angle, and then mounted the framed image over the top on 3D foam.

Materials used:
  • Digi Image: Pink Petticoat - Buzzy Little Bees
  • Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities - Classic Ovals and Classic Scalloped Ovals
  • Embossing Folder: Stampin' Up - Honeycomb
  • Coloured with ProMarkers and Wink of Stella - Clear
  • Cardstock: Neenah - Solar White, Bazzill Basics (red)

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Dream Valley - Challenge 82 - Things with Wings
Crafty Catz - Challenge 232 - Embossing
Addicted to CAS - Challenge #39 - Texture
Craft Your Passion - Challenge 215 - Frame It

Right, must dash, not looking forward to this visit to the dentist at all!  Have a wonderful day x
