Uniko May/June 2023 Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Good morning and Happy Friday!

It's release day over at Uniko and I'm here to reveal the whole release and share another card.

Here's the final card I made...

You may wonder how this card relates to the release.  Well, if you look closely, the heart shape is created from part of the new Flower Power #4 stencil.  A lot of masking tape was involved here to leave just the heart shape showing, which I then inked up using two shades of Distress Oxide ink on pink cardstock.  I then matted and layered, using square dies, onto a darker shade of pink cardstock.  I finished with a sentiment, from the Simply Said clear stamp set, heat embossed in white on black, and a single iridescent bubble gem.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Flower Power #4
  • Stamp: Uniko - Simply Said
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe - Alabaster
  • Dies: MFT Dienamics - Pierced Square Stax
  • Accents: Little Things from Lucy's Crafts - Bubbles

So, now to reveal the new products in full.

First we have the Flower Power #4 Stencil, the latest addition to the Flower Power series...

And the first of the Bauhaus art inspired products - Bauhaus Blocks Clear Stamp Set...

And finally the Layer Bauhaus Blocks Builder Stencils...

And the finished assembled design...

I think you'll agree that Bev has done a terrific job designing these new products.  There is even more project inspiration from the team over at the main Uniko blog, here.  And, by commenting on the blog hop posts you're in with a chance of winning an eGift Certificate!  Just visit each of the Brand Ambassadors linked over at the Uniko post.  Good luck!

Uniko May/June 2023 Release - Introducing....Stencil: Layering Bauhaus Blocks Builder

Good morning

It's the final introduction from the latest release coming up from Uniko, and this is a fabulous one!

The second product inspired by Bauhaus art is a new stencil set...Layering Baushaus Blocks Builder.  I had such fun creating designs with this and it's so easy to line up and has so many options, I think you'll love it!

Here's my first card, where I've used the stencils to create an entire background pattern...

This one took a fair bit of stencil shifting to fill the entire background but it was worth the effort, I love the result.  I used a neutral shade of cardstock from my stash, not quite kraft, more of a light khaki shade, and I knew I wanted to use white as one of the ink colours.  So I picked out two more shades and gradually built up the design, switching the layers and colours.  I finished the design by heat embossing the sentiment in white, from the Bauhaus Blocks stamp set which was introduced yesterday.

Materials used:

  • Stencil: Uniko - Layering Bauhaus Blocks Builder
  • Stamp: Uniko - Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Hero Arts - Unicorn; Distress Oxide - Speckled Egg, Saltwater Taffy; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe - Alabaster
  • Die: Altenew - Featured Sentiments Die Set

And for my second card I decided to go with a monochrome design using shades of green...

Here I used the stencils as they come, no masking or adding to the design.  On a green die cut panel I built up the design using three shades of Distress Oxide inks and stamped the sentiment in black, from the new Bauhaus Blocks clear stamp set.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Layering Bauhaus Blocks Builder
  • Stamp: Uniko - Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Iced Spruce, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn; Verafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

And for my final card I went a bit rogue using just two parts of the layering stencils in bright colours...

I chose the dots and stripes sections of the stencil and masked off these sections to create a border using three bright shades.  The sentiment was stamped in black, from the new Bauhaus Blocks set, and I matted and layered the panel, picking out the teal shade to create a slim border.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Layering Bauhaus Blocks Builder
  • Stamp: Uniko Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

To see this layering set in action, my fellow Brand Ambassadors are sharing more projects over on the main Uniko blog, here.

The new products will be available to purchase from the Uniko website tomorrow, 2 June at 9.00am BST.

I'll be back tomorrow to reveal the release in full.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Uniko May/June 2023 Release - Introducing...Bauhaus Blocks Clear Stamps

Good morning

Back today with the second introduction from the latest release coming up from Uniko.

This is the first of two products inspired by Bauhaus art...Baushaus Blocks Clear Stamp Set.  This set features five block designs and four sentiments, in a font representative of the Bauhaus period.  I love it!

Here's my first card, and I tried to replicate the common colours used from the era...

On a die cut panel I stamped three of the blocks in a row using Copic-friendly black ink.  I coloured sections using my Copics and finished with the sentiment stamped in black.

Materials used:
  • Stamp: Uniko - Bauhaus Blocks
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics

And for my second card I combined the new set with the Background Block Pinstripe clear stamp...

Here I stamped the block first on some neutral cardstock in a pale ink before colouring the sections with Copics.  Then, with the stamp still in my Misti, I restamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed the design in white.  This was then die cut with a pierced square die.  On the card base I stamped the pinstripes and the sentiment below.  The die cut square was then popped up on 3D foam

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Bauhaus Blocks, Background Blocks Pinstripe
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Antique Linen; VersaMark; Altenew - Moon Rock; Distress Oxide - Iced Spruce
  • Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe - Alabaster
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Die: MFT Dienamics - Pierced Square Stax

And for my final card I used the remaining block from the set, and kept it super simple...

It doesn't get much simpler than this. I stamped the block onto a die cut panel using Copic-friendly ink, coloured with Copics and then stamped the sentiment below.  I picked out the yellow shade from the colouring and used this as my card base.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles

For more projects using this new stamp set by the talented Bev and my fellow Brand Ambassadors, please do pop over to the main Uniko blog, here.

The new products will be available to purchase from the Uniko website from 2 June at 9.00am BST.

I'll be back with more inspiration tomorrow, using the final product from this latest release.  Hope to see you then.

Uniko May/June 2023 Release - Introducing...Stencil Flower Power #4

Good morning

I'm here today to introduce the first product from the latest release coming up from Uniko.

I think you'll love this one as it's a new addition to the Flower Power series....a stencil, Flower Power #4 to co-ordinate with the existing stamp set.

Here's my first card, and I went super CAS with this one...

I just love how fluid this design is so I wanted to keep this one super simple.  Just the stencil inked up using two ink shades, off the edge of the card base.  I added a sentiment, which is from a new stamp set we'll be introducing tomorrow, and stamped this in a soft grey ink to echo the soft shades of the flower.  A few smooth silver gems finished the card.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Flower Power #4
  • Stamp: Uniko - Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers; Altenew - Silver Lake
  • Gems from stash

And for my second card I combined the stencil with the Flower Power #4 stamp set...

Here I ink blended the top area of the card in a light purple before adding the stencil and ink blending in two further shades.  I then stamped the flowers from the Flower Power #4 stamp set in purple ink before colouring in with Copics.  I added the decorative elements from the stamp set in blue ink and finished with some black gemstones and a sentiment from the new Bauhaus Blocks set which will be introduced tomorrow, on a dimensional die cut strip.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Flower Power #4
  • Stamps: Uniko - Flower Power #4, Bauhaus Blocks
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch; Memento - Grape Jelly, Paris Dusk
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Die: MFT Dienamics - Stitched Rectangle Stax

For more projects by the talented Bev and my fellow Brand Ambassadors, please do pop over to the main Uniko blog, here, to see this new stencil in action

The new products will be available to purchase from the Uniko website from 2 June at 9.00am BST.
