Christmas Card Multiples - Starstruck Silhouettes

Good evening

Yes, you've guessed it, I've got more Christmas card multiples for you! 

After I made my DT card for the latest Perfectly CAS challenge, here, I just had to make more cards using the gorgeous animal silhouettes in the Card-io Starstruck set.  I just love it.

So I made two each of five different designs, all one layer mini cards...

Each design follows the same basic principle, gently ink blending away from a curved piece of scrap paper to create the snow hills.  Rather than using a blending tool I wrapped some kitchen paper around my finger and gently blended the pigment ink, fading it upwards.  I then stamped the silhouettes and sentiments in black ink.  The only design that was created slightly differently was the front facing fox as he has a white chest, so I stamped him first before masking him and then ink blending the background.

For my previous card I heat embossed the star but as these were one layer cards I didn't want to risk warping the card bases with the heat so instead I stamped them with silver pigment ink then used a glue pen over them and sprinkled on some fine glitter to create the sparkle.  I then finished by adding some detailing with a white pigment pen.

Christmas Card Multiples - Pastel Snowflakes

Good morning

Back with more of my multiple mini cards.  These were fairly quick to make, perfect when I realised I had nowhere near enough cards and time was running out!

This mini snowflake stencil is a circular design so no masking was required here.  I just blended straight through it with two shades of Distress Oxides.  All that was left was to die cut the sentiments from silver glitter cardstock and adhere straight over the design.  Simple!

Christmas Card Multiples - Nordic Red and Gold

Hi there

Back with more multiples, just four of this design but I'll definitely be using this stencil again next year, how gorgeous is this?!

For each of these I began by masking a border and adding a gentle ink blend, fading it out slightly in the centre.  I then placed the stencil over the top and ink blended again in a darker shade of red.  I then had to be patient and wait for the ink to dry, and added some anti-static powder before stamping and heat embossing the sentiment in gold.

Christmas Card Multiples - Embossed Filigree Baubles

More Christmas card multiples for you today. 

These were quick and easy makes so I made two similar designs...

I chose some plum and blue cardstock for these mini cards.  The two filigree bauble designs were from a stamp set I got free with a publication, last year I think.  I stamped and embossed the circular design onto the plum cardstock in gold, and the star design onto the blue cardstock in silver.  Each of them were then die cut using a pierced square die and adhered flat to the card bases.  I then stamped the sentiment multiple times before trimming into slim strips and adhering over the design.

These were super quick to make.  As the stamped designs were so detailed just heat embossing was all that was needed.

Christmas Card Multiples - Metallic and Sparkle Inlaid Trees

More of my multiple makes for you tonight, and you may recognise this design.  I made a larger duo when I took part in Michelle Lupton's Challenge Me a Christmas Card series, you can find the post HERE. 

So these cards are a slightly simpler and smaller version, in different colourways...

I die cut squares using a pierced square die from white glitter card and also from pink and blue shades of matte metallic cardstock.  I then die cut the same tree from each of the squares, keeping hold of the little bits within the loops.  To adhere the trees, I used squares of paper cut smaller than the die cut squares, covered these with adhesive from a glue roller, mounted the cardstock squares over the top then slotted in the die cut parts.  The panels were then adhered flat to the card bases, and I stamped the same sentiment on each, using my MISTI for speed.

Christmas Card Multiples - Merry Christmoose

Over the next few posts I'll be sharing lots of Christmas cards, mainly multiples, because as always I didn't make anywhere close to the amount I needed to send.  So lots of mass production was required!

After making the following cards, I realised that colouring was not the way to go for quick makes.  I love these cute cards but they did take a while to create.  And with these, as well as lots more of the multiples I made, I chose to use smaller square cards.  These are 10cm x 10cm (4" x 4")...

I made twelve cards, six each of two designs.  The images and sentiments were stamped onto die cut squares and coloured with ProMarkers.  These were then matted onto slightly larger die cuts from silver cardstock and then adhered to the card bases.  Simple :)

Perfectly CAS - December 2019 Challenge

Firstly, apologies for the silence on here, I've been having a race against time to get all my Christmas cards made, written and sent.  But I'm just about done now...phew!

But now back to the reason for this post...it's new challenge day over at Perfectly CAS.  And there's lots of scope with this challenge, here's the cue card...

Any celebration cards will work for this challenge, just remember to keep you CAS designs to one third of the card or less.

I was itching to use another of my new sets from Card-io which I purchased at a craft show a few months ago, I thought it was so cute.  Here it is...

And the main thing that made me want this stamp set.....that adorable little mouse!!!

On a die cut rectangular panel I began by using a curved piece of scrap paper as a mask and ink blended with the purple/blue shade, upwardly fading it out.  The animal silhouettes and the sentiment were then stamped in black.  I then stamped the star in VersaMark and heat embossed in clear sparkle.  The panel was then popped up onto the card base using fun foam and I finished by adding some falling snowflakes, using a white pigment pen.
