Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - New Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Good morning!

It's release day over at Uniko and I'm here to reveal the whole release and share another card.

I inked up the butterfly using the stencils and then die cut around it with a circle die.  I adhered this on 3D foam to a slightly larger circle cut from blue cardstock and then adhered it flat to the card base.  I stamped the sentiment in blue ink to co-ordinate with the butterfly then added three smooth silver gems to finish.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Layering Bright Butterflies
  • Stamps: Uniko - Organic Blooms
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Dies: Hero Arts - Nested Infinity Circles

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing...Spring Botanicals Primrose

Hi guys

It's the final introduction for the latest Uniko release.  Tomorrow is release day so be sure to stick around for the full reveal.

The final new stamp set is a new addition to a well loved collection...Spring Botanicals Primrose.

Just the one card for you today and I used a technique I've not done for a very long time...paper piecing!

I began by stamping the image onto a die cut panel.  I then stamped parts of the image onto some patterned paper...the flowers onto yellow paper featuring tiny ditsy flowers, and the leaves onto green patterned paper which had a flecked design.  I fussy cut them out and adhered them over the main stamped image.  To add some depth, I used Copic markers to add some shading.  I finished by stamping a sentiment from the set and added some metallic yellow jewels.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Spring Botanicals Primrose
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Copic markers
  • Patterned papers from stash
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles
  • Accents: Little Things from Lucy's Cards - Jewels: Lemon Mix

Bev and the Brand Ambassadors have some beautiful projects to share which you can find over on the main Uniko blog, here

The full release will be revealed tomorrow and the new products will be available to purchase from 9am GMT.

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing...Stencil Layering Organic Blooms and Organic Blooms Clear Stamps

Happy Wednesday

Welcome to day three of the Uniko new release introductions and today the team are introducing a new layering stencil set and co-ordinating stamp set.

You can use these independently and also together where you use the stencils to colour the stamped images.

For my first card I've used just the stencil set, together with a greeting from the stamp set...

I simply used the stencils to create the floral design directly on the card base.  I then used a curved die to cut the corner piece where I stamped the sentiment.  I added some co-ordinating sprinkles to finish the card.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Layering Organic Blooms
  • Stamps: Uniko - Organic Blooms
  • Ink: Altenew - Wisteria, Ultraviolet, Andromeda, Minty Mint, Sweet Leaf; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Avery Elle - Dotted Borders Die
  • Accents: Little Things from Lucy's Cards - Sprinkles: Wisteria

And now my second card where I used just the stamp set...

On a die cut panel I stamped the flowers and leaves, using some masking.  I then coloured the image with Copic markers.  I stamped the sentiment, also from the set, onto a vellum strip and heat embossed in white before adhering this from the edge of the panel.  The panel was then adhered flat to the card base.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Organic Blooms
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; VersaMark
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe - Alabaster
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles

And I have one more where I've combined the stencil set with the stamp set...

I stamped a row of the flowers, masking so I could overlap them.  I then used the stencils to ink blend each flower, also using the masks where there were overlaps.  I kept this one really simple and just added a sentiment and nothing more.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Organic Blooms
  • Stencils: Uniko - Layering Organic Blooms
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Altenew - Rubellite, Pink Diamond, Maple Yellow, Citrus Burst; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

I hope you're enjoying all these introductions this week, I'll be back tomorrow with the final introduction before revealing the entire release on Friday, when the products will be available to purchase.

Thanks again for taking a look, I appreciate your visit.

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing...Alphabet Solid and Background Blocks Waves

Hi there

It's day three of the Uniko Birthday new release introductions and today the team are showcasing two new fantastic stamp products.

There is a companion to join the large Alphabet Outlined stamp set and another addition to the Background Blocks series.  Say hello to Alphabet Solid and Background Blocks Waves.

Here's my first card which combines the two new products, as well as a stamp from the Balloon Bash stamp set...

On a die cut panel I began stamping the waves in rainbow colours, one wave at a time, masking the others.  Once complete I then stamped the H, B, 2 and U stamps from the new set in black, as well as the stars accent stamp from the Balloon Bash set.  Adhered the panel to the card base and that completed the card.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Waves, Alphabet Solid, Balloon Bash
  • Ink: Altenew - Ruby Red, Orange Cream, Maple Yellow, Parrot, Persion Blue, Hydrangea; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles

And I went super CAS with my second card and used additional stamps from Background Builders Hearts and Always & Forever...

It's been a long time since I went super simple with a card and I love this one layer card.  It consists of just four stamps.  Two letters from the Alphabet Solid set, together with an additional heart, sentiment and one single gem.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Alphabet Solid, Background Builders Hearts, Always & Forever
  • Ink: Altenew - Coral Berry, Ruby Red; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Accent: Small silver gem from stash

And for my final card, another super simple one layer make where I've also used the Flower Power #4 stencil and a stamp from the You Are, Yes You stamp set...

Again, I just adore how this turned out.  Clean and simple designs make my heart happy!  I blended the flower off the edge, using three shades of Distress Ink.  Stamped two letters from the Alphabet Solid set and the remainder of the greeting in black ink.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Flower Power #4
  • Stamps: Uniko - Alphabet Solid, You Are Yes You
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

As always, Bev and my fellow Brand Ambassadors have lots more inspiration over on the Uniko blog, here.  The introductions continue tomorrow where we will be introducing a co-ordinating floral stamp set and stencil set.

All the new products will be available from Friday 28 February 2025.

Thanks for taking a look and I hope you'll pop back again tomorrow.

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing...Stencil Layering Bright Butterflies & Re-Introducing Bright Butterflies Clear Stamps

Hi there

More introductions today from the upcoming new release from Uniko.

Bev has used a previous stamp set as inspiration for this gorgeous new layering stencil set...Bright Butterflies.  And even better....she's bringing back the Bright Butterflies stamp set too!

These stencils create the most beautiful butterflies, three in total, together with additional design elements.

Here's my first card using the stencils, and I've used them here with stamps from the Happy Days and Just Because stamp sets...

I've used the stencils to create two different butterfly designs and then fussy cut them out.  On my card base I've stamped foliage from the two stamp sets in shades of grey and the sentiment in black ink.  The bodies of the butterflies are adhered flat to the card base and I've used narrow thickness 3D foam to adhere the wings and add a little dimension.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Layering Bright Butterflies
  • Stamps: Uniko - Happy Days, Just Because
  • Ink: Altenew - Puffy Heart, Hydrangea, Andromeda, Mountain Mist, Lagoon, Galactic Stream, Limestone, Industrial Diamond; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

And now my second card using the returning Bright Butterflies stamp set...

I began with a die cut panel and stamped the three butterflies in similar tones, but getting brighter from bottom to top.  I masked the lower and upper butterflies and stamped the cloud from the Sunshine and Rainbows stamp set.  I then used a stencil from my stash to ink blend the sun rays.  I finished by stamping the sentiment and flight trail from the set in black ink,

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Bright Butterflies, Sunshine & Rainbows
  • Stencil: Clearly Besotted - Sunny Day
  • Ink: Altenew - Blush, Coral Bliss, Ruby Red, Morning Frost, Warm Sunshine; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles

For lots more inspiration from the rest of the team using these stencils and stamps, take a look at the Uniko blog, here.  I'll be back tomorrow to introduce two more products from this new release.

All the new products will be available from Friday 28 February 2025.

Have a great week.

Uniko Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing...Stencil Geometric Happy Birthday

Hi there

It's day one of the introductions from the latest Uniko release.  Bev has some great new additions coming up.

We're kicking off with a new stencil.  This one is initially being offered as a freebie with any orders over £15, prior to it being a new addition to the product catalogue.

This stencil is great for masculine makes and when I first saw this it was giving me camouflage vibes.

So that's the route I took for my first card, a jungle theme.  Here I used it with three other Uniko stencils...Tropical Leaf #1, Tropical Leaf #2 and Tiger Print (no longer available)...

I began by stencilling the Happy Birthday in three shades of brown/grey ink.  I then masked the words and inked up the other stencils surrounding it.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Geometric Happy Birthday, Tropical Leaf 1, Tropical Leaf #2, Tiger Print
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Pumice Stone, Frayed Burlap, Ground Espresso, Peeled Paint, Rustic Wilderness, Rusty Hinge

And now my second card and this one shows that it's not just for masculine cards.  Here I framed the greeting with stamps from the Background Builders Squared and Background Builders Triangulate...

I simple inked through the Happy Birthday with pink and blue ink, creating the lilac where the inks blended.  Then simply stamped two borders above and below in black.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Geometric Happy Birthday
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Builders Squared, Background Builders Triangulate
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Kitsch Flamingo, Salty Ocean; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

For lots more inspiration from the rest of the team using this stencil set, take a look at the Uniko blog, here.  I'll be back tomorrow to introduce two more products from this new release.

All the new products will be available from Friday 28 February 2025.

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Stamp and Stencil Combo

Good morning.

I'm over on the Uniko blog today, here, with some Brand Ambassador inspiration for you.  How are you enjoying the birthday month celebrations so far?  We're just past the halfway point and there is so much more to come so don't forget to keep checking the Uniko blog posts for inspiration and more.

I won't go into the full details of how this card was made as you can find the step by step information on the post linked above.

For this card I decided to use a technique I love to use when stamping with detailed images.  I've used the gorgeous Pure Florals: Peony stamp set for the image and sentiment, and used the Quilted stencil...

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Pure Florals Peony
  • Stencil: Uniko - Quilted
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Altenew - Icy Water, Winter Lake; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Accents: Little Things from Lucy's Cards - Sprinkles: Little Dots

This card came together pretty fast, the most time consuming part is cutting out the mask but you also then have it for a couple more projects.

Thanks for taking a look and I hope this month of Uniko celebrations is giving you lots of crafty inspiration.

Enjoy your week.

Uniko VIP Facebook Group Challenge

Hi there

I hope you've been keeping up with all the birthday celebrations over at Uniko.

As part of the birthday month celebrations, Bev is starting monthly challenges over on the VIP Facebook Group which you can find here.  It's a private group but you can request to join if you're not already a member.

This challenge will be to share a Birthday/Celebration card in the challenge album.  To qualify all you need to do is ensure you use Uniko products on your card. The winner will receive a £10 eGift Certificate.

As a Brand Ambassador I'm sharing a card there too and this is the birthday card I made for a special friend recently, using Background Blocks Layered Modern Florals stamp set...

On a die cut panel I stamped the flowers multiple times using my MISTI, adding a darker pink shade in the flower centres.  I then stamped the main leaves using two shades of green ink, before filling in a few gaps with the smaller accent leaf and dots stamps.  I stamped the sentiment which is made up using stamps from the Flower Power #2 and Flower Power #11 stamp sets.  I adhered the panel flat to the card base and finished with a scattering of small silver gemstones.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Layered Modern Florals, Flower Power #2, Flower Power #11
  • Ink: Altenew - Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Dies: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles

Uniko - Celebrating 13 Years!

Good morning!

Today marks the start of Uniko's 13th Birthday celebrations.  There will be lots of inspiration throughout the whole of February so we would love for you to join us throughout the month.

We are starting today with a Birthday Card Linky Party.  All you need to do to join in is create a birthday card using any Uniko products (current, retired or digital) and link up in the linky over on the Uniko blog post.  See below for more info.

For my birthday card I've used stamps from two Uniko stamp sets - Up & Away and Sunshine & Rainbows...

On a die cut panel I began by stamping the balloon and basket from the Up & Away set and then masking then off so I could then ink blend the background.  I blended from the top, gradually fading out the blue sky.  With the masks still in place I then stamped the clouds from the Sunshine & Rainbows set using white pigment ink.  I removed the masks and coloured the balloon with Copics before stamping the sentiments in black ink.  The panel was then adhered flat to the card base.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Up & Away, Sunshine & Rainbows
  • Ink: Altenew - Caribbean Sky; Memento - Tuxedo Black; Hero Arts - Unicorn; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Dies: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

Take a look at the Uniko blog post, here, to see some more birthday inspiration from Bev and the other Brand Ambassadors.

You can find all the rules of the Linky Party over at the Uniko blog too.  The linky will be open until the end of the month and one lucky winner will receive a £25 eGift Certificate.

And check this out...Bev is offering 15% off all existing products until 9 February if you've had your eye on anything on the webside:

Don't forget to check out the Uniko blog throughout the whole of February, they'll be lots going on.
