After making my last card it made me realise I really like one layer cards although I find it quite difficult sometimes to make them look interesting enough, which is mainly due to the lack of variation in my stamps. I always tend to go for the same types of things such as flowers and butterflies and have now realised that my stamp collection, albeit still very small, is all very samey!
When I saw this week's challenge at Less is More I really wanted to take part. This week's theme is to produce a One Layer Card (yay, just what I wanted to hear), and the card needs to be inspired by a Film (uh-oh, not so good!). For every film that popped into my head I didn't having anything remotely helpful in my stash. So, I now have to admit that I can't take credit for this week's idea as it was my mum's suggestion that I went with. She often does crafting with me and so she knows roughly what stamps I have.
And here it is...
I think this has to be the most CAS card I have ever created! I stamped the design but then had to think of a fitting sentiment to use. As the bird is supported I thought this worked quite well.
So have you guessed the film yet...
It's the Mel Gibson / Goldie Hawn film,
Bird on a Wire!
Materials used:- Stamps: Clearly Besotted Stamps - Background Builders II (woodgrain), Clearly Besotted Stamps - Paired Up (bird), Personal Impressions - Mix and Match (sentiment)
- Ink: Versa Color - Brown and Turquoise
- Pen: Whispers Strokes
After the brain block I had yesterday I've just had another film spring to mind so I may be back later with another one!
Thanks for visiting as always, I hope you're all having a lovely weekend :)
Beautifully clean & simple; laughed when I saw the film title. I'm stumped for this challenge. Might just make a card & try to fit it retrospectively! Jenny
