Firstly, I'd like to say a big thank you and welcome to my new followers. I think I missed a few recently as my blog doesn't seem to be showing my Bloglovin followers correctly. So thank you for joining me and I hope my creations don't disappoint :)
I finally found time last night to make a card for the latest Clearly Besotted Challenge and this time the brief is to 'Stamp your own Background'. Hopefully I'll find time to make one or two more for this challenge before the deadline but for starters I decided to make a masculine card as my stock is severely lacking in cards for men.
Here's what I came up with...
This was very simple to make. I used one of the stripe stamps from the Clearly Besotted 'Basic Stripes' set and repeated the image using varying shades of blue. As its a clear stamp its very easy to line up below the previously stamped image. I finished with a sentiment and some gems. These glazed gems from Papermania are ideal, even for masculine cards, as they have a smooth domed surface as opposed to being faceted, so can be used for either gender without looking too feminine. I mounted the striped panel onto some dark blue vellum, before adhering to the base card on 3D foam.
- Stamps: Clearly Besotted Stamps - Basic Stripes and Honeycomb (sentiment)
- Ink: Versa Color - Baby Blue, Smoke Blue, Atlantic, Royal Blue, Indigo and Neptune; Versafine - Onyx Black
- Gems - Papermania - Glazed Gems (Iridescent)
- Cardstock and vellum from stash
Thanks for popping by. I've got a day off today and the plan was to do some cleaning and decluttering and somehow I've ended up on here! So I'd better get back to it :)
Bye for now
