Uniko June 2022 Reveal, Release and Brand Ambassador Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Good morning

Woohoo, it's release day at Uniko today!  All the products from the June Release will be available to purchase from Uniko, here, tonight from 9pm BST.

Before I share the full reveal I have a couple more cards to share with you...

I die cut an aperture in a die cut panel and stamped the sentiment, from the Simply Said Blocks stamp set.  Directly on the card base I inked up some flower heads using one of the stencils from the Layering Stencil Zesty set.  This is the stencil which creates the inner part of the citrus fruit.  I used a fine liner pen to create the stems and finished with some silver enamel dots.

Materials used:
  • Dies: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles; MFT Die-namics - Rectangle Peek-a-boo Window
  • Stamp: Uniko - Simply Said Blocks
  • Stencil: Uniko - Layering Stencil Zesty
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

And for my final card I created an abstract design using the rainbow arches...

On a die cut panel I arranged the individual arch stamps to create the pattern and then stamped them one by one in rainbow colours.  The sentiment is from the Simply Said Blocks stamp set.  Super simple!

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Sunshine & Rainbows, Simply Said Blocks
  • Ink: Altenew - Coral Berry, Warm Sunshine, Frayed Leaf, Sea Glass, Soft Lilac; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched  Rectangles

And here is the full release...

And in true Uniko fashion, Bev is offering a £20 eGift Code to one lucky person, just by visiting each of the Brand Ambassadors and commenting along the way.  You can find all the links over on the main Uniko blog, here.

Uniko June 2022 Release - Introducing...Sunshine & Rainbows and Stencil Raindrops

Good morning

More Uniko goodness this morning, and today we're introducing a new stamp set, Sunshine & Rainbows and a new stencil, Raindrops.

First up I've used the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set in a non-traditional rainbow colour palette...

On a die cut panel I began by stamping and heat embossing the clouds in white, you can see this more clearly in the next photo.  I then masked these off before stamping the rainbow arches.  It was then just simply a case of stamping the heart, raindrops and sentiment, which are all from the same set.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Sunshine & Rainbows
  • Ink: VersaMark; Altenew - Buttercream, Lagoon, Limestone, Mountain Mist, Blush; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Opaque Bright White
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles

The next card also uses the same stamp set...

I die cut a pierced square from white cardstock and stamped the clouds.  These were then masked before ink blending away from the edge of the stencil to create sun rays.  I die cut a square in blue and then offset these and adhered to the card base.  The sentiment was stamped in co-ordinating colours.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Sunshine & Rainbows
  • Ink: Altenew - Sea Breeze, Warm Sunshine; Distress Oxide - Squeezed Lemonade
  • Die: MFT Die-namics - Pierced Square Stax

And here I've used the Raindrops stencil...

I used three shades of Distress Oxides to create a blend through the stencil.  I did the same ink blend on a further piece of cardstock and mounted this behind the stencilled panel.  These were then offset on the card base before stamping the sentiment.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Raindrops
  • Stamps: Uniko - Sunshine & Rainbows
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

You can find the Uniko blog post here, where you'll find lots more inspiration using these products.

Thanks for visiting.  I'll be back tomorrow with a couple more makes and a full reveal of the new products which will be available to purchase from tomorrow evening.

Uniko June 2022 Release - Introducing...Background Builders Hearts

Good morning

And welcome back to another introduction from the June 2022 Release at Uniko.

Today we are focusing on a stamp set that's been available for a while but not yet had a formal introduction, it's another in the Background Builders series called Background Builders Hearts.

For my first card I made a simple one layer...

I chose a non-traditional colour palette for this love card and I think this would be great for a masculine or gender neutral card.  I began by stamping the two corners using two of the vertical heart stamps.  I then stamped the heart, before masking it off and stamping the heart strings.  I finished by stamping a sentiment from the Just Because stamp set.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Builders Hearts, Just Because
  • Ink: Altenew - Gray Denim, Bamboo, Teal Cave, Volcano Lake; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

For my second card I chose to use one of the hearts to create flower petals...

I began by stamping the vertical hearts along the edge of my card base.  Then, on a panel slightly narrower I stamped three of the hearts to create a flower, which were then masked off slightly to stamp the 'stem'.  I added a slim strip of green cardstock along the edge of the panel and adhered it flat to the card base.  I finished the card with a white heat embossed sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set, stamped on a purple die cut strip.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Builders Hearts, Simply Said
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Altenew - Midnight Violet, Hunter Green; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Opaque Bright White
  • Die: Altenew - Featured Sentiments Die Set

Thanks for visiting today.  There's lots more to see over on the Uniko blog, here, so why not take a look.  I'll be back tomorrow morning with the next of the product introductions.

Take care

Uniko June 2022 Release - Introducing...Layering Stencil Zesty

Hi guys

More from the Uniko June release for you and today is all about a new layering stencil set...Zesty.

Layering stencils are so on trend right now in the craft world, and this one certainly won't disappoint.

Here's my first card, where I've used the stencils to create a patterned background...

I've used three of the stencils to create lemons, limes and oranges, predominantly around the borders of my card base.  There is a fourth stencil in this set which fits between the images to create a background but I've not used it here.  I moved the stencils around to pack more images into some blank areas.  The first stencil was ink blended in the lightest shades, progressing to two shades darker.  I then used the dots image from the Organically Zesty stamp set, which was introduced yesterday, and stamped these in black to add some contrast.  I die cut a panel with a scalloped die and stamped the sentiment, also from the Organically Zesty set and adhered the panel flat.  I finished with a few citrus coloured gems.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Layering Stencil Zesty
  • Stamps: Uniko - Organically Zesty
  • Ink: Altenew - Citrust Burst, Fresh Lemon, Honey Drizzle, Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Bamboo, Parrot, Olive; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles
  • Accents: Little Things from Lucy's Cards - Jewels: Lemon Mix, Lime Mix, Tangerine Mix

And for my second card I went super CAS..

I stencilled one of the half limes in the same way as the last card and added the juice drops which is part of the fourth stencil in the set.  I layered this die cut panel up onto a further die cut panel of co-ordinating cardstock and then stamped the sentiment below, which is another from the Organically Zesty stamp set.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Layering Stencil Zesty
  • Stamp: Uniko - Organically Zesty
  • Ink: Altenew - Bamboo, Parrot, Olive; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Dies: MFT Die-namics - Pierced Square Stax

I'll have more for you tomorrow morning :)

Uniko June 2022 Release - Introducing...Organically Zesty

Hi there

Between now and Friday I will be sharing some cards using products from the new June Release at Uniko, along with my fellow Brand Ambassadors.  You can find links to their blogs over at the main Uniko blog, here.

The whole release will be available to purchase from the Uniko shop this coming Friday from 9pm, BST.

Today, we are introducing the brand new Organically Zesty stamp set, it's a large set with two main images and lots of sentiments.

I used the fabulous orange image for my first card...

On some smooth white card I stamped the image and then masked a section at a time and used ink blending to colour the fruit and leaves, then used Copic markers to add some subtle colour to the flowers.  This was then fussy cut out.  I then ink blended some blue and black ink around the edges of a panel of navy cardstock and die cut it out, then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in white.  The fussy cut image was adhered to the panel before adhering the panel to the card base on fun foam.

Materials used:
  • Stamps - Uniko - Organically Zesty
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Distress Ink - Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon, Barn Door, Twisted Citron, Rustic Wilderness, Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Opaque Bright White
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

I then used the lemon image for my second card and gave it a softer feel with some watercolouring...

On some watercolour paper I stamped the image and heat embossed it in white.  I then watercoloured using Inktense pencils, by adding water to the paper then picking up colour from the pencil tips onto my brush.  Once dry I then added a few extra details using the same pencils but dry, just to add some definition.  I die cut the panel using a scalloped rectangle and then stamped the sentiment before adhering flat to the card base.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Organically Zesty
  • Ink: VersaMark; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Derwent - Inktense pencils
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Opaque Bright White
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles

And I've only just realised I probably should have swapped these sentiments around as lemon's aren't actually that sweet!  Never mind, you get the idea! :)

Thanks for taking a look today.  Please do pop back tomorrow for more projects using the new products, and on Friday we'll be revealing the release in its entirety so be sure to check that out.
