Today I'm sharing a very simple card I've made this morning and I decided to make it a get well card as I have very few in my stock.
In blogland recently I've seen quite a few examples of cards that have a border on only two sides of the focal panel so I had a go and I really like the result. I also managed to combine a few challenges with this one.
The tulip image is from a retired set from Stampin' Up and I was able to ink up the bloom and stem separately using my ink cubes. I then used my Stampin' Up Borders Scoring Plate and picked out a small section of a bracket border to create the wave, and then scored again alongside to create the double wave. I curved my sentiment stamp slightly to follow the embossed lines. I finished off by framing with some coloured cardstock and mounting on a coloured card base. I was going to add some gems but decided to hold back and keep this one really CAS.
Materials used:
- Stamps: Stampin' Up - Both Way Blossoms; Clearly Besotted Stamps - Say It In Style
- Ink: Versa Color - Green Tea and Boysenberry; Versafine - Onyx Black
- Tools: Stampin' Up - Borders Scoring Plate
- Cardstock from stash
