Good morning
I'm here today to introduce the first product in the latest release coming up from Uniko.
Its a new addition to the Background Blocks series...Background Blocks Rays. This one will combine brilliantly with the products released last month, as well as any summer themed products in your stash.
Here's my first card using this new stamp...
Here I've combined it with some existing Uniko products. I blended a background using Distress Ink in Scattered Straw and then stamped the Background Blocks Rays in graduating shades of yellow. I then die cut this with a tag die, stamped the leaves from the Paradise Leaves clear stamp set and added the sentiment from the Paradise clear stamp set. On a die cut stitched rectangle I stamped the Block Party Summer clear stamp in Versamark ink and embossed using white pearl embossing powder, just to add some subtle interest to the background. I added some black twine and adhered the tag on 3D foam.
Materials used:
- Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Rays, Paradise Leaves, Paradise, Block Party Summer
- Ink: Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; Altenew - Warm Sunshine, Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Pure Graphite; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; VersaMark
- Embossing Powder: Wow - White Pearl
- Dies: Clearly Besotted - Tag Along Die Collection; Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles
- Twine from stash
And, the rays don't only have to be used for a summer theme...
I stamped the Background Blocks Rays image twice, at opposite ends of a rectangular panel using three teal tones, to create an abstract background. I then used images from the Balloon Bash clear stamp set, heat embossing the balloon in gold. I finished with a sentiment from the Simply Said Blocks II set and then mounted the panel onto a teal frame.
Materials used:
- Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Rays, Balloon Bash, Simply Said Blocks II
- Ink: Altenew - Mountain Mist, Volcanic Lake, Lagoon; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; VersaMark
- Embossing Powder: Wow! - Metallic Gold Rich

I'll be back with more inspiration using another of the new products tomorrow.
Fab cards Anita. Love the bright summer feel of the first and the repeat stamping on the second looks amazing! X
ReplyDeleteThis is such an eye catching stamp and so versatile. Clever to overstamp a background to get two coloured stripes and your second card is very trendy with the reverse stamped image.
ReplyDeleteI love the ways you used this design! Great cards!
