Well, apart from a couple of family cards, I've finished, written and posted all my Christmas cards. It seemed to take forever this year but I got there in the end!
I was a few cards short but the new challenge just starting at Less is More helped me to my target. This week's Theme challenge is...
Happy Little Stampers continues to be our fab sponsor for this month so don't forget that by playing along you'll be in with a chance of winning our monthly prize.
Michelle Wallace, our winner for October is joining us at a Guest Designer today so please do pop over to her blog and show her some love.
As I mentioned, I have two cards for you this week, and here's the first thanks to a stamp set that came free with a recent publication...
This cute penguin and sentiment were from the free stamp set. I stamped the jumper first then masked it and stamped the penguin. They were stamped in black ink and I coloured the image with ProMarkers. I die cut around these using a stitched die and popped it up onto the card base on fun foam. Super easy.
Materials used:
- Stamps: Hunkydory - Winter Warmers (free with Creative Stamping magazine)
- Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine - Onyx Black
- Die: MFT Die-namics - Stitched Rectangle Stax
- Coloured with ProMarkers

Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge #275 - Make Your Mark
And a completely different feel for my second card...
On a panel of white cardstock I stamped the Dove in VersaMark ink and heat embossed in pearlescent powder. I then created some ombre blending with Distress Inks. I spritzed water through a snowflake stencil and blotted some colour away before then stamping the sentiment. The panel was then adhered flat to the card base. The opal embossing can be seen more clearly in the next photo...
Materials used:
- Stamps: Clearly Besotted - Paired Up, Peace on Earth II
- Ink: VersaMark; Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar; Versa Color - Sky Blue
- Embossing Powder: Wow! - White Opal
- Stencil: Memory Box - Tiny Snowflakes
