This morning I'd like to share another card I've made for the latest challenge at Less is More where the theme is 'A Touch of Turquoise'. As this is one of my favourite colours I couldn't stop at just one entry!
The current challenge at The Card Concept is to 'Use a Butterfly Theme', so I'm linking this card up there too, and I think my design fits into the Clean and Layering category.
Here it is...
I started by stamping the butterfly with VersaMark ink on a strip of vellum which was then embossed with white embossing powder. I then coloured the gaps in the image from the rear side of the vellum using a FlexMarker. The strip was then wrapped and secured around a panel of white cardstock. Next I stamped the sentiment and then mounted this panel on a piece of turquoise cardstock which was then adhered to the card base. The card was finished off with a few turquoise and clear gems.
Materials used:
- Stamps: Clearly Besotted - Elegant Butterflies and Design a Tree (sentiment)
- Ink: VersaMark; Versafine - Onyx Black
- Embossing Powder: Stampin' Up - White
- FlexMarker - Surf Blue
- Cardstock and gems from stash
Right, must dash and get ready for work! Have a fab day :)
