Uniko 11th Birthday Release In Review Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Hi there, Happy Friday!

Do you remember the wonderful Uniko release from right back at the beginning of March?  Well, today the team are revisiting it with a Release in Review Blog Hop and Giveaway!  Some of the team didn't receive their goodies in time to be able to join in with showcasing the new products so we're sharing lots of inspiration again here on this blog hop.

So, take a look at the Uniko blog post, here, for links to visit the whole team and for details of the fabulous giveaway.  Just comment along the way for a chance to win.

The first of my cards is showcasing the new Falling Hearts Serenade stamp set, which I hadn't received in time for the release...

On a grey die cut panel I stamped the image in a pale ink and coloured in the roses, leaves and hearts with Copics.  Then, with the stamp still in my MISTI, I restamped the image in VersaMark and heat embossed in white.  The sentiment, also from the set was stamped in black.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Falling Hearts Serenade
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Antique Linen; VersaMark; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Opaque Bright White
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

Next up is the stencil set I also didn't get a chance to play with for the release, Bokeh Layering Hearts, which I've paired with a sentiment from the new Everyday Love Sentiments stamp set...

I roughly blended a background with Distress Ink, fading it out and then randomly blended through one stencil to create the pink/red hearts.  Once dried a little I then blended over the top through the second stencil, using white pigment ink.  I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and then stamped the sentiment in black before adhering the panel flat to the card base.

Materials used:
  • Stencils: Uniko - Bokeh Layering Hearts
  • Stamps: Uniko - Everyday Love Sentiments
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries; Hero Arts - Unicorn; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

Next is my favourite stamp set from the release, Spring Botanicals Crocus...

I chose to use a panel of watercolour card for this one.  I stamped the crocus and heat embossed in white before then watercolouring with my Inktense pencils.  Finished with a sentiment from the set stamped in black.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Spring Botanicals Crocus
  • Ink: VersaMark; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Derwent - Inktense
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Opague Bright White

The next card uses the Up & Away stamp set combined with the Cloud 9 stencil...

Here I stamped the balloon and masked the negative space to then be able to blend the ink within the balloon.  I stamped the basket, coloured with Copics, and then masked the positive sections to be able to ink blend the clouds using the stencil.  The sentiment from the stamp set finishes the card, a one layer with dimension due to the masked image.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Up and Away
  • Stencil: Uniko - Cloud 9
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black; Distress Oxide - Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral; Tumbled Glass

And last up is the cute Hoppy Easter set...

Here I used the bunny image and paper pieced them using various co-ordinating papers.  I stamped a border in black along the top edge of the striped paper, this from the Background Builders: Classics stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped on black cardstock and heat embossed in white.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Hoppy Easter, Background Builders Classics
  • Ink: Versafine Clair - Nocturne; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Opaque Bright White
  • Patterned Paper: Dovecraft - Back to Basics IV

I hope you've enjoyed seeing a review of this release.  Please do pop over to the main Uniko post to join the blog hop and see lots of other products by my fellow Brand Ambassadors.  Good luck with the giveaway!

Uniko's 11th Birthday Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Good morning and Happy Saturday!

It's release day over at Uniko and I'm here to reveal the whole release and share another card using a couple of the new products.

Here's the final card I made...

This was a super quick and easy one.  I die cut a heart from a scrap piece of card and laid it over my card front.  I then blended away from the edge of the Cloud 9 stencil using three colours of Distress Ink.  After removing the heart mask I stamped the sentiment from the Up & Away stamp set and there you have it, a super simple one layer!

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Cloud 9
  • Stamp: Uniko - Up & Away
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Salty Ocean, Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

So, now to reveal the new products in full.

First we have Spring Botanicals Crocus, the latest addition to the Spring Botanicals collection...

And the cute Hoppy Easter set...

The super useful Everyday Spring Sentiments set...

Up & Away, a large set including lots of sentiments in a great font...

The new Cloud 9 stencil which co-ordinates perfectly with Up & Away...

And the three remaining sets which were launched by Bev on HCN in January...

I hope you like what you see, there is even more project inspiration from the team over at the main Uniko blog, here.  And, by commenting on the blog hop posts you're in with a chance of winning a £30 eGift Certificate!

I'm sure there's something from this release that just needs a place in your stash and, if so, happy shopping!

Uniko February/March 2023 Release - Introducing...Falling Hearts Serenade, Everyday Love Sentiments and Stencil Bokeh Layering Hearts

Hi there

There are more introductions from the new Uniko release today which are being showcased over on the Uniko blog and by some of my fellow Brand Ambassadors.

Unfortunately, these goodies didn't reach me in time for the release so I have no projects to share with you today.

There are new stamp sets called Falling Hearts Serenade and Everyday Love Sentiments, and a new stencil, Bokeh Layering Hearts.  They are being officially introduced in this release but you may recognise then if you are a viewer over at the How to Craft Network (HCN) as Bev launched them there at the end of January.

All the new products will be available to purchase from the Uniko website, here, tomorrow!  Be sure to pop back tomorrow for the full release reveal, blog hop and giveaway.

Uniko February/March 2023 Release - Introducing...Up & Away and Cloud 9 Stencil

Good morning

More introductions from the new Uniko release today and we have two products that co-ordinate perfectly.

There is a new stamp set called Up & Away, which features some hot air balloons and lots of sentiments in a great font, and a new stencil, Cloud 9.

Here's my first card using both of these...

I found some blue paper that's been in my stash for years which has a white mottled effect which I thought would be a perfect for my sky background.  So I die cut a stitched rectangle from it and then inked through the stencil in white to create the solid clouds and stamped in white using the cloud outline stamps from the set.  I stamped the balloon and basket, coloured with Copics and then fussy cut it out.  The sentiment from the set was stamped in black and I popped the balloon up on 3D foam.

Materials used:

  • Stamps: Uniko - Up & Away
  • Stencil: Uniko - Cloud 9
  • Ink: Hero Arts - Unicorn; Memento - Tuxedo Black; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles
  • Patterned Paper from stash

And for my second card I used the two products together once again...

This time, instead of inking through the clouds within the stencil, I used the edge of the stencil and blended ink away from it to create the cloudy background.  The bunting and sentiments were stamped directly on the card base and, once again, I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the balloon and basket.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Up & Away
  • Stencil: Uniko - Cloud 9
  • Ink: Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Memento - Tuxedo Black; Distress Ink - Speckled Egg
  • Coloured with Copics

There's more being shared over at the main Uniko blog, here, so be sure to check that out.

The new products will be available to purchase from the Uniko website from 4 March at 9.00am GMT.

I'll have info about more new products tomorrow.

Uniko February/March 2023 Release - Introducing...Hoppy Easter and Everyday Spring Sentiments

Good morning

More today using stamps from the upcoming release from Uniko.

Today, the team are showcasing two new sets...Hoppy Easter and Everyday Spring Sentiments.  Hoppy Easter is a cute set with, you've guessed it, the Easter bunny, with an outline and solid image.  And the sentiment set has lots of great Spring themed words using the font which features in many of Bev's already popular sets.

Here's my first card using the Hoppy Easter set...

I stamped the outline image of the bunny, along with the facial features, directly onto the card base and coloured him in using Copics.  I then die cut an oval aperture from some gingham patterned paper and adhered it over the card base so his face was peeping through.  The sentiment stamped in black finished the card.

Materials used:

  • Stamps: Uniko - Hoppy Easter
  • Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black
  • Coloured with Copics
  • Die: Lil' Inker Designs - Stitched Ovals
  • Patterned Paper: Docrafts - Boofle

And for my second card I used the solid bunny image, along with some of the words from the Everyday Spring Sentiments set...

I stamped the solid bunny in a sandy brown shade and die cut him out with an oval stitched die.  I then sprinkled on some chunky embossing enamel to create the tail, heating from below so as not to blow the powder out of position.  Flock or a cotton ball would have been better for the dimension I was after but this bunny will have to make do with a shiny tail! :D

To create the sentiment strips I used masking tape and ink blended the pink and yellow strips, before then stamping a selection of the sentiments in black.

Materials used:
  • Stamp: Uniko - Hoppy Easter, Everyday Spring Sentiments
  • Ink: Altenew - Sand Dunes, Buttermilk, Frosty Pink; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Embossing Enamel: Stampendous - Chunky White Deep Impressions
  • Die: Lil' Inker Designs - Stitched Ovals

Don't forget to pop over to the main Uniko blog, here, to see more card examples from the team.

The new products will be available to purchase from the Uniko website from 4 March at 9.00am GMT.

I'll be back with more introductions tomorrow.  Enjoy your day!
