Uniko July 2022 Mini Release & Reveal, Team Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Good morning!

It's release day over at Uniko

The products from this mini release are now available to purchase from the Uniko shop, here.  You can see them in their entirety later in this post.

Here's one more card sample for you, this one using the new Scattered Polka Hearts stencil...

I thought I'd try to create a kind of bokeh effect on this one.  On a panel I masked off a diagonal section and then ink blended with two shades of Distress Oxide ink.  I laid the stencil over the ink and blotted gently with a baby wipe.  I then shifted the stencil a couple of times, dabbing white ink through to create the bokeh effect.  The panel was then die cut with a stitched rectangle die and I stamped the sentiment from the Sunshine and Rainbows clear stamp set.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Scattered Polka Hearts
  • Stamps: Uniko - Sunshine and Rainbows
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral; Hero Arts, Unicorn; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

Here are the products in full...

You can follow the blog hop from the Uniko blog, here, and there is also a giveaway for a £20 eGift, so why not join in.

I hope you've enjoyed this mini release, thanks so much for visiting.

Uniko July 2022 Mini Release - Introducing...Paw Prints Hearts and Stencil Scattered Polka Hearts

Good morning

Introducing two more products from the Uniko mini release today.  I'll get straight to it.

So, we have a new stamp set called Paw Prints Hearts, and another stencil, Scattered Polka Hearts.

Here is the stamp set in action...

On some white cardstock I stamped the large paw print image in three neutral shades.  I then used a stitched rectangle die to create a panel.  To finish I stamped the heart in Versamark and embossed in Platinum, before stamping the sentiment below in black.  The panel was then adhered to the card base on 3D foam.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Paw Prints Hearts
  • Ink: Altenew - Morning Frost, Rocky Shore, Moon Rock; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Platinum
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

And on this card I've combined the stamp set with the stencil...

I inked up the paw print stamp in rainbow colours, spritzed with water and stamped onto watercolour card.  This was then die cut with a stitched circle.  I masked off a horizontal panel and lightly blended with Distress Oxide ink before inking through the Scattered Polka Hearts stencil.  The sentiment was stamped in black and the die cut popped up on 3D foam.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Paw Prints Hearts
  • Stencil: Uniko Scattered Polka Hearts
  • Ink: Altenew - Crimson, Pinkalicious, Hydrangea, Persian Blue, Forest Glades, Warm Sunshine; Distress Oxide - Cracked Pistachio, Salvaged Patina; Versafine Clair - Nocturne
  • Die: MFT Die-namics - Double Stitched Circle Stax

That's all for today.  I'll be back tomorrow with the full Release and Reveal, and the products we've shared this week will be available in the Uniko Shop tomorrow from 9am BST.

Uniko July 2022 Mini Release - Introducing...Stencil Tropical Leaf #2

Hi there

Another of the new Uniko products for you today, and we have a new stencil for you.

A great one to combine with the existing tropical and paradise range, this is the Tropical Leaf #2 stencil.  It's a Monstera leaf stencil, together with a mask, and in a great size too.

For my first card I used the mask...

I masked off the edges of my card base first and then positioned the mask, using a little low tack adhesive on the reverse.  I then blended out around the mask using three shades of Distress Oxide ink.  The little 'holes' in the leaf are also included as part of the stencil.  I simply stamped the two part sentiment from the Paradise clear stamp set and the card was finished.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Tropical Leaf #2
  • Stamps: Uniko - Paradise
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

And for my second card I used the stencil...

I inked blended through the stencil with four shades of Distress Oxide ink.  I then messed up!  I stamped the hibiscus flower from the Paradise clear stamp set over the stencilled image but I forgot that the impression isn't great when stamped over Oxide ink so I fixed it by stamping and embossing the flower onto vellum.  I added a heat embossed sentiment from the Happy Days clear stamp set, embossed in white.  I cut the front of my card base away so it was then a card front so I was able to wrap the vellum around it, ensuring the flower was in position above the one I'd stamped below it, before adhering to another card base.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Tropical Leaf #2
  • Stamps: Uniko - Paradise, Happy Days
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; Versamark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Clear Gloss, Opaque Bright White
  • Vellum from stash

I hope you're enjoying see this new release so far.  I'll be back to share more tomorrow morning.  Don't forget to check out the Brand Ambassador makes over at the main blog, here.

Uniko July 2022 Mini Release - Introducing...Background Blocks Rays

Good morning

I'm here today to introduce the first product in the latest release coming up from Uniko.

Its a new addition to the Background Blocks series...Background Blocks Rays.  This one will combine brilliantly with the products released last month, as well as any summer themed products in your stash.

Here's my first card using this new stamp...

Here I've combined it with some existing Uniko products.  I blended a background using Distress Ink in Scattered Straw and then stamped the Background Blocks Rays in graduating shades of yellow.  I then die cut this with a tag die, stamped the leaves from the Paradise Leaves clear stamp set and added the sentiment from the Paradise clear stamp set.  On a die cut stitched rectangle I stamped the Block Party Summer clear stamp in Versamark ink and embossed using white pearl embossing powder, just to add some subtle interest to the background.  I added some black twine and adhered the tag on 3D foam.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Rays, Paradise Leaves, Paradise, Block Party Summer
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Scattered Straw; Altenew - Warm Sunshine, Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Pure Graphite; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow - White Pearl
  • Dies: Clearly Besotted - Tag Along Die Collection; Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles
  • Twine from stash

And, the rays don't only have to be used for a summer theme...

I stamped the Background Blocks Rays image twice, at opposite ends of a rectangular panel using three teal tones, to create an abstract background.  I then used images from the Balloon Bash clear stamp set, heat embossing the balloon in gold.  I finished with a sentiment from the Simply Said Blocks II set and then mounted the panel onto a teal frame.

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Background Blocks Rays, Balloon Bash, Simply Said Blocks II
  • Ink: Altenew - Mountain Mist, Volcanic Lake, Lagoon; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Metallic Gold Rich

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Festive Friday using Rustic Wreath

Good morning, or should I say Happy Festive Friday!

I'm over on the Uniko blog today with some Christmas inspiration.  I can't say I've ever been this early with my Christmas makes (but I always aim to be!) so it's a first for me.  And following the "Christmas in July" tradition, Bev is offering 10% off some Christmas goodies at the Uniko shop, here.

Today I have three makes, all using the Rustic Wreath Clear Stamp Set, along with a few other Christmas products.  You can find all the details of how these were made over on the Uniko blog post, here.

So first up is a project using the stamp set, purely stamped in a traditional design...

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Rustic Wreath
  • Ink: Altenew - Everygreen, Forest Glades, Mocha, Mangrove Root, Crimson; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Metallic Gold Rich
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

For this next card I've combined the Rustic Wreath Clear Stamp Set with a couple of other products from the Uniko Christmas range...

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Christmas Folk Snowflake Stencil
  • Stamps: Uniko - Rustic Wreath, Pattern Building Christmas Tree (sentiment)
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Old Paper; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Metallic Gold Rich
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Double Stitched Rectangles

My final card combines the Rustic Wreath set with stamps from two other festive sets...

Materials used:
  • Stamps: Uniko - Rustic Wreath, Rustic Christmas, Big & Bold Merry
  • Ink: Altenew - Crimson; Versafine Clair - Nocturne; VersaMark
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Metallic Gold Rich
  • Die: Avery Elle - Dotted Borders

Well, that's all from me today.  I hope I've provided you with some inspiration for your festive projects.

It's scorching in the UK right now, seems very odd talking about Christmas in the middle of a heatwave!

Stay safe (and cool!) everyone.
