Uniko - Let's Have Some FLIPPIN' Seasonal Fun - Day 1

Hi guys

Firstly, apologies!  It's been so long since I posted anything.  Life got in the way and it's been a busy and also a tough few months.  But I'm back and have dusted off my craft desk and hope to now be back to sharing makes with you more regularly.

And this week at Uniko it is all about FLIPPIN'!  Their fabulous Ink & Flip stencils, of course!  And it's all about the seasonal stencils.  We are kicking off the week by revisiting a couple of the existing products, then there will be some sneak peeks, and we will end the week with two new introductions.

Today we are revisiting the Ink & Flip Christmas Star stencil.  This one is great for creating those Christmas backgrounds but can also be used for non-seasonal makes.

Here is my sample card and I've paired the stencil with the Rustic Wreath stamp set...

I love how this card turned out, the wreath stamp just snuggles in the centre perfectly!  I began by inking up the stencil using two shades of red Distress Oxide, of course flipping before adding the second shade.  Because of the nature of Oxides, with some colours you do tend to lose the third shade that is created with the overlap but I still love how this one looks, look how sharp that star is.  So I stamped the wreath and then added the cones, twigs and berries using the smaller images from the set, and the sentiment is also from the same set.  A simple one layer with just stencilled and stamped ink.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - Ink & Flip Christmas Star
  • Stamps: Uniko - Rustic Wreath
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Abandoned Coral, Lumberjack Plaid; Altenew - Evergreen, Espresso, Paper Bag, Heart Beat; Versafine Clair - Nocturne

Don't forget to visit the Uniko blog, here, to see more projects created by the team.  Another from the Ink & Flip series will be revisited tomorrow.  Thanks for looking.

  1. Beautiful combo of this stencil together with the wreath in traditional Christmas colours. That's great to add one card to our Christmas stash, right ?
