Uniko October/November Stencil Release - Introducing...MOD Background Builder

Good morning

I'm here today to introduce the first stencil in the latest mini release coming up from Uniko.

Bev has designed an absolute winner with this one.  It co-ordinates brilliantly with the Mid Century Modern range as well as lots of other products from Uniko, and there are so many options with this stencil; a focal point, an option for a repeated design, background builders and fillers too.

Here's my first card using the repeated pattern...

I blended through the stencil to create the repeated pattern using two shade of Distress Oxides.  I then used a few stamps from the Mid Century Modern Florals stamp set to create one flower picked out from the background design and finished with a sentiment from Simply Said.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko - MOD Background Builder
  • Stamps: Uniko - Mid Century Modern Florals, Simpy Said
  • Ink: Distress Oxide - Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral; Versafine Clair - Noturne

And for my second card I went ultra CAS...

On a die cut panel I inked through the corner design of the stencil in two shades of Distress Ink.  Once dry I inked through the more detailed corner design with VersaMark and heat embossed in gold.  I finished with a simple sentiment in black from the Just Because set.

Materials used:
  • Stencil: Uniko MOD Background Builder
  • Stamp: Uniko - Just Because
  • Ink: Distress Ink - Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves; VersaMark; Versafine Clair - Nocturn
  • Embossing Powder: Wow! - Metallic Gold Rich
  • Die: Create a Smile - Cool Cuts Scalloped Rectangles

For more projects by the talented Bev and my fellow Brand Ambassadors, please do pop over to the main Uniko blog, here, to see this new stencil in action.

The new stencils will be available to purchase from the Uniko website from 3 November at 9.00am GMT.

I'll be back with more inspiration using another of the new products tomorrow.
