I managed to fit some crafting in today. I made a few cards, some of which I can't yet share, but I have a nice sunny one for you this evening.
I masked off a vertical panel and blended three Distress Inks to create an ombre effect. I then laid a stencil over the panel, spritzed with water and then blotted with a paper towel to remove the colour and produce the flowery pattern, the ghosting technique. I removed the masks and left it to dry for a short time before stamping the sentiment.
Materials used:
- Ink: Distress Ink - Fossilized Amber, Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral; Versafine - Onyx Black
- Stencil: MFT - Funky Florals
- Stamps: Clearly Besotted - Sunshine and Smiles
Challenge entries:
One Layer Simplicity - Challenge #19 - Strip Down
Crafty Cardmakers - Challenge #145 - Warm Summer Colours
CAS-ual Fridays - Challenge #142 - Pretty Patterns
Creative Inspirations - Challenge #323 - Flowers
And just for fun I'll link it up to the gallery at Happy Little Stampers August CAS Challenge - Masking.
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit today. I will be back on Monday for the next Muse challenge and perhaps tomorrow, if I find time to get crafty.
Beautiful sunny card - I love it. A technique I must try it looks so good.
